My Story Begins in Kashan

Hi there, I’m Ali Tarighati Kashani, born on a beautiful autumn day, October 5, 1992, in the historic city of Kashan, Iran. From a very young age, I realized that curiosity and creativity were essential parts of who I am. I was always eager to explore, never hesitating to dive into new adventures and discoveries.

As I grew older, this fascination with the world around me turned into a deep passion for learning and making an impact. My childhood is filled with vivid memories—the soothing scent of Kashan’s roses and the charm of its age-old cobblestone streets. Yet, even as I walked these historical paths, my mind often wandered beyond the horizon, dreaming of boundless possibilities.

This unique blend of a historic hometown and a mind that craved innovation has always been a source of inspiration throughout my journey.

First Challenges and Personal Growth

One of the most important turning points in my life was the moment I realized that learning is the key to growth and success. I still remember my first big challenge—learning the English language. At first, the journey felt overwhelming and incredibly hard for me. Every small failure I faced only fueled my determination to master this skill.

I came to understand that language is not just a tool; it’s a bridge that connects you to a much larger world beyond your immediate surroundings. Over time, I became more and more passionate about technology. Following this excitement, I spent countless hours learning about software, computers, and engineering principles. It wasn’t enough for me to simply use technology—I wanted to leverage it to solve problems and create meaningful solutions.

This period taught me something profound: continuous learning is not just a responsibility; it’s a way of life that shapes both your personal and professional journey. I also learned that limitations are always optional—they only exist if you allow them to. With this mindset, I’ve learned to fight for solutions and turn even the hardest challenges into opportunities.

Turning Failures into Opportunities

My journey has always been about learning and creating, but my professional path truly came into focus when I stepped into the world of tourism. Mastering the English language allowed me to effortlessly connect with guests from all around the world. These daily experiences broadened my perspective on different cultures and made me realize that tourism isn’t just an industry—it’s a bridge that fosters connection and collaboration between people.

After spending years working and interacting with travelers, a bigger dream started to grow in my mind: to create a space that could host these interactions and experiences in the best way possible. That’s when the Green House Hostel, the first-ever hostel in Kashan, came to life. Every detail of this space was designed with care and love, so that travelers could take more than just a place to stay—they could carry unforgettable memories of Kashan’s culture and life with them.

The Green House found success faster than I ever imagined, and this motivated me to take an even bigger step forward. This time, it was the Kashan Architecture House, a 1,200-square-meter venue uniquely designed to welcome guests from all over the world who traveled to experience the beauty of Kashan.

Over time, these projects earned notable recognition on international platforms. This wasn’t just a personal achievement—it was proof that building something with passion and purpose always yields meaningful results.

But just when everything seemed to be at its peak, the COVID-19 pandemic hit—a time when even the grandest dreams needed to be rethought and reshaped. This global crisis taught me that the world is in a constant state of change, and I, too, must always be ready to adapt and reinvent myself.

Fig House: The Story of Dreams and Perseverance

Step into a story where dreams take root and perseverance makes them flourish.

Fig House: The Story of Dreams and Perseverance

Among all the projects and achievements I’ve had in the tourism and hospitality industry, there was always a bigger dream shaping my thoughts. It went beyond building a hostel or a hospitality space. It was the dream of breathing new life into a 150-year-old historical house in Kashan—turning it into a haven for art, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. To me, this house wasn’t just a building; it was a statement of love for culture, history, and the beauty of life itself. That’s why I named it Fig House: The House of Art and Creativity.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was consumed by uncertainty and challenges, my wife and I decided to take a bold and risky step to bring this dream to life. We sold our apartment, moved to a rental property, and dedicated all our resources to restoring the historical Fig House. It was a turning point in our lives, both exciting and humbling.

Amidst these efforts, life gifted us its most precious miracle—our little daughter, Elsa, who brightened our journey even during its most difficult moments. Her arrival gave us renewed motivation and reminded us that chasing dreams is never just a practical decision; it’s a soulful adventure that demands courage and adaptability.

I poured every ounce of my energy into the restoration of Fig House, combining my skills in technology, marketing, and experience design. The restoration process began with passion and ambition, but unfortunately, the project was met with unexpected challenges. With the escalating economic pressures and soaring costs, our resources ran out, and the House of Art and Creativity remained unfinished.

But Fig House is far from just an abandoned project. It still lives in my heart as a dream worth pursuing. Today, alongside my professional projects, I am actively exploring funding models to bring this vision back to life. I firmly believe that this house has the potential to become an inspiring, global space where history, art, and creativity coexist in harmony.

This chapter in my life has taught me something invaluable: failures do not signify the end of a dream—they are merely bridges to new paths. Big dreams are never meant for one person alone; sometimes, they require companions who share the same vision. More than ever, I now believe that the world is full of opportunities—opportunities to rebuild, to create, and to give life to ideas bigger than ourselves.

Managing a Boutique Hotel: Lessons in Hospitality During a Crisis

After initiating the Fig House project, my life took a turn where I realized that, alongside dreaming big, I needed to sharpen my practical skills and embrace hands-on learning. It was during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was caught in unprecedented silence and uncertainty, that I stepped into the role of managing a boutique hotel called Saraye Darb Bagh.

This beautiful boutique hotel, with its unique architecture and warm, welcoming atmosphere, became much more than just a business opportunity for me. It was a chance to send a message of hospitality and the resilience of life itself to the world, even during a global crisis. Over the course of three years, we were privileged to host exceptional guests—individuals who, despite the restrictions on travel, entered this place with courage, hope, and a thirst for life.

This period was filled with challenges and invaluable lessons. Being alongside our guests during the uncertainty of the pandemic taught me that hospitality is not merely about providing services; it’s about creating spaces where people feel safe, calm, and hopeful—places where they can find breathing room to rebuild themselves, even in the face of crisis.

The daily management of the boutique hotel came with its own set of hurdles. From dealing with a sharp decline in travel to adhering to strict health protocols and finding creative ways to maintain financial sustainability, I discovered new dimensions of both my managerial and interpersonal skills. Every step along this journey was a new lesson—from embracing adaptability in unpredictable situations to mastering the art of effective communication with both team members and guests.

But perhaps the greatest lesson of all was this: life continues, even in its most turbulent moments. With the power of adaptability and a mindset open to learning, we can transform crises into opportunities for growth.

These three years at Saraye Darb Bagh served as a unique complement to my professional journey. This experience allowed me to remain true to the essence of hospitality amidst chaotic times, and it reinforced my belief that even in the hardest situations, serving others and creating an inspiring environment holds an unmatched power to keep moving forward.

Adapting to Change and Redefining the Path

The COVID-19 era brought a significant transformation to my life and career. There were moments when I felt like the smooth path I once walked on had suddenly turned into a steep, uncharted mountain. But I had learned that the greatest challenges often come with even greater lessons.

As the world of tourism underwent rapid changes, I was compelled to take a deeper look at my professional journey. This is when the concept of reinvention gained meaning for me. When the physical doors of hostels and hospitality spaces closed, I saw an opportunity to redefine not only my career but also my life. Entrepreneurship became my new path, this time with a more creative, digital, and modern approach.

This period guided me toward exploring new horizons. By leveraging the skills and experiences I had gained in technology, marketing, and content creation, I ventured into a new realm. Website development, artificial intelligence, podcast production, and creative online endeavors allowed me to establish a sustainable business while also rebuilding my personal brand. The pandemic didn’t just force the suspension of many physical projects—it opened the door to discovering untapped potential. During this time, I realized that innovation doesn’t always arise from calm periods. Sometimes, the greatest creativity is born from confronting the hardest circumstances.

Today, I not only feel grateful for the journey I’ve walked but also deeply inspired by these unpredictable changes. They’ve motivated me to imagine new ways to combine tourism, education, and experience-driven projects. Now, with all its complexities, the world has taught me that life is nothing but an endless adventure of redefining yourself.

A Decision to Migrate: Beginning a New Chapter in Life

After years of pursuing various paths—from tourism to technology and hospitality—I had faced my share of challenges. Yet, I had always been driven by a desire for growth and an urge to discover the newest version of myself. This passion for learning and embracing new cultures had always given me the courage to walk unexplored paths.

It was along this journey that I received a life-changing opportunity from Germany. This unexpected offer both surprised and inspired me, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in my life. The job offered me the chance to bring together the skills I had developed in tourism, hospitality, technology, and marketing while challenging myself in a dynamic industry in a new country. This wasn’t just a job; it was an opportunity to test my abilities in a professional hotel setting and grow like never before.

For me, life has always been about far more than work—it’s about experiencing, learning, and evolving. Germany, with its rich culture and limitless opportunities, offered me a chance to immerse myself in a new and diverse environment, meet people from different walks of life, and turn each day into a fresh adventure.

But this wasn’t just a personal decision. My family played the most significant role in inspiring and motivating me to take this leap. Being able to embark on this journey with them by my side made it feel like more than just a geographical move—it was the beginning of an adventure filled with hope and endless possibilities for all of us.

From the moment I made this decision, I realized it wasn’t just a job offer. It represented an opportunity to flourish further and build a brighter future. I began learning German to prepare myself for this journey with a strong and professional foundation. Though learning a new language came with its challenges, for me, it felt like opening a window into a whole new world. After months of practice and persistence, I’ve reached an intermediate level, and this journey, while demanding, has been one of the most exciting parts of this transition.

Now, with just three months left until I move to Germany, I look forward to this country marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in my story. I firmly believe that success comes from having the courage to step into the unknown. With boundless enthusiasm, I am ready to start this journey, embrace a new culture, and create not just a new career but also a meaningful ending to one phase of my life and a magnificent beginning to my next adventure.

A Vision for the Future: An Invitation to a Shared Journey

Life is never a straight path. Each day, each challenge, and every unexpected twist is an opportunity to redefine ourselves and rebuild from the ground up. As I look back on my journey, all the difficulties, choices, and adventures I’ve experienced have been pieces of a larger puzzle—a puzzle that has shaped me into someone passionate about growing, learning, and creating new things.

I believe life becomes more beautiful when we create unique experiences—not just for ourselves but also for others. From the days when I devoted myself to serving others in the world of tourism and hospitality to the moments when I pursued the most innovative ideas in technology, one thing has always remained constant for me: human connection, sharing lives with others, and seeing the world through their eyes.

What could be better than joining people from all corners of the world, from diverse cultures and lifestyles, on the same path? Every individual carries a story, and every story has something to teach us. I love being part of this shared journey, where each of us has something meaningful to contribute.

Today, as I look to the future, more than anything, I feel a deep sense of hope and excitement. Moving to Germany, flourishing in a new world, and continuing the creative journey that has always been at the heart of my life, is just the beginning of a fresh chapter. This path isn’t solely about achieving success; it’s about finding new ways to create value and to inspire others.

But none of this feels complete without you, without a sense of “us.” That’s why I believe connection lies at the heart of all these stories. I invite you, the reader of this story, to join me on this adventure. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world or what dream you hold in your heart; let’s expand this community of creativity, learning, and growth together.

I am still that curious traveler, longing to discover the newest things life has to offer. I still love to listen, to see, and to learn with all my heart. Perhaps the path I’ve chosen today will lead me to places I’ve never even imagined.

But the truth is, there is no final destination, because life itself is an endless adventure.

So, let us dream together, share our stories with the world, and cherish the incredible flavor of this very moment we are living right now.

I am here—always ready to connect, collaborate, and be inspired by those who believe in the power of connection and building a hopeful future. Together, we can create more wonders.
